Hezlett, Robert Neill

Robert Neill Hezlett (known as Jerry)

Hezlett was born at Coleraine on 18th October 1911 to  John Hezlett, Farmer and Ellen Mary McQuiston Hezlett nee Huston. They had married on 3rd March 1909 at Portstewart Presbyterian Church.

Following his education, Hezlett joined the bank at Dromore, Co. Tyrone branch in 1931 and later served in Ballymena and Ardee branches.

In 1942, Hezlett volunteered and enlisted into the armed forces.

On demobilisation, Hezlett returned to the bank at College Green, Dublin branch where he stayed for 12 years. In 1960 he was transferred to Head Office on Relief Staff where he retired on health grounds in 1964.

Jerry Hezlett died on 13th August 1969. The Bank staff magazine published this obituary:
