Boyd, James Graham

Major James Graham Boyd (known as Jimmy)

Boyd would probably have been born between 1906 and 1907.

Following his education, Boyd joined the bank on 26th March 1923 at Markets, Belfast branch.

He volunteered and enlisted into the Heavy Anti Aircraft, Royal Artillery regiment in 1939 and served in Nigeria, India, Assam and Burma with the rank of Major.

Following demobilisation, Boyd returned to the bank to serve in Donegall Place branch as Cashier and later Pro-Manager. In 1958 he was appointed as Manager in Mountpottinger branch. three years later, in 1961, Barry was transferred to Markets branch as Manager.

A James Boyd is mentioned on page 96 of 'The Ulster Bank Story' by Lyn Gallagher. 

Jimmy Boyd died in 1982.
